About the Role
As a Care Worker at Om Carehome, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to individuals in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients. This role requires empathy, dedication, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Assist with mobility support, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
• Prepare meals and provide dietary assistance based on client needs.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Support clients with shopping, errands, and appointments as needed.
• Track records and liaise with families and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for clients.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care worker, support worker, or similar role preferred but not required.
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to different client needs.
Basic knowledge of personal care practices and household management.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including live-in care arrangements.
Right to work in the UK (if applicable) and ability to pass background checks.
A relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care) is a plus but not mandatory.
First aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain).
